Recently,Regulations (Draft) of Hangzhou on Promoting the Developmentof Embodied Intelligent Robot Industrywas examined and approved by Hangzhou Municipal Government. It is planned to be submitted to the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congressfor consideration. This is China’s first local legislation for embodied intelligent robotindustry.

The embodied intelligent robot industry is a new focus of global sci-tech competition. Hangzhou gathers about 200 relevant enterprises with a solid foundation in key technologies.

The draft focuses on technological breakthrough, research & development support, scene application and safety supervision, to draw a clear “roadmap” for industrial development. This legislation provides a legal guarantee for Hangzhou to seize the initiative in the industry.
